F.A.Q'S.

Asked.And.Answered.

01

Do you take commissions?

Rarely. At this point in my life and knitting career I have the luxury of working on only what excites me. So I'll take on a commission only when the idea is something I want to spend time exploring. But if you have something in mind, please write to me about it and I will say honestly whether it's a good fit.

02

Where can I see the work in person?

Gravers Lane Gallery in Chestnut Hill, Phila., PA represents me, and it is the surest place to find the work outside of a show or my home studio in Lafayette Hill, PA (by appointment only.) Show announcements go up on Instagram (follow me!) and in the Studio B.log. Where the work has been is on my About Me page.

03

Where do I buy the book?

"Betsy Beads - Confessions of a Left-brained Knitter" sold out its two print runs, a total of 15,000 copies (!) but XRX Books is sadly no longer in business to reprint or distribute it. Hard copies can still be found online, but I now own the rights to distribute the digital PDF of the entire book. Gorgeous photography and all. Head over to the Book Page HERE to learn and see more and maybe order your copy.

04

Where do you get your materials?

The fibers, beads and other vintage components come from a good many places and have been gathered over years rather than ordered from one supplier. I am always on the lookout, so there is no single answer. If you are after something specific, ask me and I will tell you where mine came from. But I always recommend sourcing from whatever local bricks and mortar businesses you have nearest to you. If you don't, when you want them, they will no longer be IN business. SHOP LOCAL!!!

05

Can I buy a piece I see here on the site?

Occasionally. There is no E-shop on this site.  I truly believe it best for a customer to try on a piece before making a decision. See how it looks and feels on YOU. Only then can you know it is truly right for you. But pieces have found their way to people who ask. Write to me if a piece catches your eye and we'll talk.

06

Do you teach?

Not any longer. I taught all around the country for over 12 years but now reserve my time for creative studio work. A lot of what I taught in person is included in my book. And my 5 hour video Craftsy class "Brilliant Knit Beads" is available HERE. The Studio B.log is where I often write about how a piece gets made.
